In Fourth Grade, our learners start to show their preferences. They enjoy choosing books and writing about topics of interest to them. They are able to connect with characters and are able to see things from multiple perspectives. Their interest in Science and Social Studies is growing and students may show preference for one or the other. Expectations are higher as we begin to think about these students making the transition from elementary school to middle high school. It is important to establish good work habits both in the classroom and at home.
